THE XERIC ROCK GARDEN
PRESENTATION BY MARCIA TATROE
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9
DOORS OPEN AT 6:00 PM
22890 MT. HOLLY LANE – OFF OF N. AIRPORT ROAD
Please join fellow plant enthusiasts for a wonderful and free evening featuring a presentation by noted author and lecturer, Marcia Tatroe of Denver, Colorado. She will introduce us to the many plants and methods that can be used to create a drought resistant rock garden and landscape.
Marcia lectures throughout the West, focusing on garden design, perennials, xeriscape, and incorporating native plants into gardens and landscapes. In her book, Cutting Edge Gardening in the Intermountain West, she advocates using drought-tolerant and native plants and indigenous materials to create a gardening aesthetic unique to any region in the West.
Starting at 6:00 pm, our local rock garden members will treat you to tasty finger foods, beverages, conversation, and a chance to meet Marcia. You will also be able to stroll the lovely gardens of Bel Giardino and shop our plant sale. Marcia will give her power point presentation at 7 pm.
